🌿 Eventide Sanctuary, Shop and Sip

Join us on the Flourish bus for a truly unforgettable day as we head to the beautiful Eventide Animal Sanctuary, followed by a relaxed pub lunch and a browse through some shops on the way home at Sorell.

Our first stop at Eventide Animal Sanctuary is something truly special — and one you won’t forget. Here you’ll meet Ian and Diana, the incredible humans behind the sanctuary, along with over 200 rescued animals — and yes, they all have names. From highland cows, donkeys and horses to sheep, alpacas, turkeys, geese and chickens… every single one has a story. (Click the Show More button below to see more about our itinerary).

You’ll also meet Wally — Ian’s very first rescue, now a bit of a local celebrity (he even has a children’s book written about him 🐾).

We’ll spend 90 minutes immersed in sanctuary life, with a relaxed and hands-on experience that includes:

• A guided buggy tour of the property

• The chance to meet and feed the animals

• A creative earring-making session using feathers sourced right here at the sanctuary

• Tea and coffee as you take it all in

  
  

Our group will be split in two, with one group heading off on the buggy tour while the other enjoys the creative session — then swapping over so everyone experiences both. You’re welcome to take your handmade earrings home as a special keepsake, or donate them to the Eventide gift store to help support the sanctuary.

Not only will these beautiful animals put the biggest smile on your face, you will also be helping to make a difference just by attending - our admission fees go straight back into supporting the sanctuary and the amazing work that Ian and Diana undertake.

After our time at Eventide, we’ll head to the Dodges Ferry Hotel for a relaxed lunch (own cost), before finishing the day with a wander through some Pre loved stores in Sorell — perfect for a little treasure hunting. We had a ball and picked up some great bargains last time we visited.

✨ What to wear/bring:

Flat, comfortable shoes and dress for the weather (raincoat, sunscreen or hat depending on the day)

Please note: A good level of mobility is required for this event as there is undulating ground and gravel pathways to navigate at Eventide.

Pick up: 9:30am Cambridge Homemaker Centre (on our 12 seater Flourish Bus - exact pick up location will be sent to you on the purchase of your tickets)

Return: Approx. 3:30pm

Tickets: $139 per person (inc. GST)
