🌿 Friday Fun Day: Ladies Trip to Maria Island

Date: Saturday 1 November 2025

Departure: 8:00 am from Cambridge Homemaker Centre (in the parking area outside Drummond Golf and Supercheap Auto area) - look out for the Flourish Bus)

Return: approx 6:00 pm (at same place)

Escape with Flourish on a full-day adventure to Maria Island, one of Tasmania’s most stunning national parks. This is a day to connect, explore, and soak up nature, wildlife, and history in an intimate, small-group setting.

Your Day at a Glance

• 8:00 am: Depart Cambridge in the Flourish minibus, enjoying a scenic drive to Triabunna.

• Ferry Ride: 30-minute crossing to Maria Island — keep your eyes peeled for dolphins, seals, and seasonal whales.

• Guided Exploration: Moderate walks around the Island to:

  • Marvel at the Painted Cliffs

  • Discover the local wildlife and beautiful scenery

  • Explore the Darlington World Heritage convict site

• Wildlife Encounters: Spot wombats, pademelons, Forester kangaroos, wallabies, Tasmanian devils, and a variety of birdlife.

• Relax & Picnic: Bring your own lunch and snacks to enjoy on pristine beaches or sheltered bays.

• Free Time: Wander, take photos, or swim in safe bays.

• Return: Ferry back to Triabunna, then minibus to Cambridge - arriving back at around 6pm

• A moderate level of fitness is required for this trip as we will be walking around 10kms

• Due to the nature of our events, refunds will not be offered but tickets can be transferred to another women 18+

• Ferry ticket includes one piece of luggage which is limited to a backpack weighing no more than 7kg.
